Brooklands in Surrey, the birthplace of British motor racing and aviation, is to get a multi-million pound Heritage Lottery Fund grant to help restore it to its former glory. The money will help bring part of its famous track back to life and rebuild its main hangar, which houses historic aeroplanes including Wellington bombers, Sopwiths and Hurricanes. Publication of the latest edition of the Brooklands Bulletin Magazine, designed by Nick Findell at The Graphic Agenda, was held back to include this very important announcement of the Heritage Lottery funding. |
